A control room for a running system. Applications report numbers over time — requests per second, memory used, how long the queue is — and Grafana turns them into dashboards you can actually read, plus rules that message you when a value crosses a threshold. The dashboards can be written as files in the repository, so they go through the same review as code and the production and test views come from one definition.
