The maker of Claude filed an S-1 prospectus on Nasdaq. First-half revenue grew from $1.2B to $16.3B, and the company signed a compute deal with SpaceX worth up to $120.5B.

What the prospectus revealed

Anthropic filed Form S-1 with the US SEC for a primary offering of Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol ANT. The number of shares and price range are not yet set.

The most interesting number: revenue for the first half of 2026 reached $16.3 billion, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier — more than a thirteen-fold increase. The company was valued at roughly $965 billion in May 2026.

The race to the exchange: OpenAI vs. Anthropic

OpenAI filed a confidential S-1 back on June 8, 2026 after a private valuation of $852 billion, and its own listing is aimed more at 2027. Anthropic could therefore be the first major AI lab on the public market.

The prospectus also revealed a deal with SpaceX for compute worth up to $120.5 billion — AI infrastructure is becoming the capital game of the decade. SpaceX simultaneously closed a $40 billion GPU financing with Apollo.

Our take

The Anthropic IPO is a watershed moment for the whole industry — for the first time the public can value an AI lab directly, not through Microsoft or Google. 13× annual growth explains why Meta is raising $98 billion for AI infrastructure. For Czech companies the takeaway is different: the AI market is consolidating around a handful of players with nearly unlimited capital. Betting on fringe models is increasingly risky — build on big players' APIs with an abstraction layer that lets you swap the model in an afternoon.
